Young people at the centre of the MF

MF seeks to see young people being challenged not only in their individual capacity but also develop the capacity to empower their families and those around their communities in many positive ways.

MF’s community development programme seeks to equip the community of Alexandra with biasness to the youth to be agents of positive sustainable change in the areas of influence, principally learning skills of self-sufficiency and social advancement. The youth programmes present an opportunity to utilise the solid platform of change driven leaders to train and equip them with highly sought skills of entrepreneurship and the like that could potentially assist them in developing sustainable entrepreneurship opportunities, whilst ensuring the community thrives in all respect where MF’s footprint exists.

We see this programme breaking social barriers between the young and the old, upskilling the youth, giving high school learners an opportunity to be innovators and creators within their context. In our approach, we will seek to involve stakeholders from community leaders, local Government, TVET colleges and Small-Medium enterprises to ensure the programme remains relevant to the needs of the communities and such a compact in fact is established with sustainability in mind.
